The 3rd President Conference of WTEA was held

From October 16th to 17th, 2018, the 3rd Presidents Conference of the World Theatre Education Alliance (WTEA) was held at the Central Academy of Drama, China.

The presidents and representatives of world-renowned theatre schools from Russia, U.K, Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Georgia, Japan, Korea and China attended the meeting, in which they discussed and voted on the following topics.

1.     The 2016-2017 Alliance Activities Report by Hao Rong, Vice President of the Central Academy of Drama and Secretary-General of WTEA.

2.  The election of a new Secretary-General. Hao Rong, Vice President of the Central Academy of Drama was elected unanimously.

3.  Membership Application by the Athens Conservatoire Drama School was approved.

4.  Resolution on the establishment of the Theatre Methodology Research Centre.

5.  Proposal of establishment of an evaluation system for art subjects.

The conference focused on the development strategy of the Alliance and tried to develop a new mode of cooperation, which will promote closer exchanges and interactions among the affiliated institutions and prosperity of world drama education.
